2021 Submit a Proposal

We are accepting proposals until 11:59pm (CST), Wednesday, March 31, 2021. Please read the full Call for Proposals before proceeding: http://www.cdwrightconference.org/2021-call-for-proposals.html

We encourage group proposal submissions but will also consider individual submissions. Individual proposals that are accepted will be grouped into panels by the conference organizers. If you are submitting a group proposal, please provide contact information and a biographical summary for each person. Any one participant may only appear in one proposal.

Format for the proposed session. *

Panel Presentation: 3–5 presenters offer best practices, advice, how-tos, studies of other women writers, or craft talks. Does not feature creative readings. Roundtable Presentation: 5–7 presenters engage in a moderated discussion about a specific topic. Does not feature creative readings. Workshop: Presenters lead participants and provide instruction in a hands-on session. Creative Reading: Writers read from their own works in any field or genre. Proposed Title. *

Please provide a presentation title for your individual contribution and a session title if submitting as a group.

Summarize your proposal (100 words or less) for use in conference materials if accepted. *

Provide an abstract (400 words or less) of your proposal. If submitting a proposal for a creative reading, attach a 2–3 page (per writer if submitting as a group) writing sample instead. Please add a note about how you will engage audience participants and how they will benefit from such a presentation. *

Provide a biographical summary (50 words or less per person) for yourself and additional panel members to be used in promotional materials, printed programs, and session introductions. *

While we hope to host an in-person conference in November, we will not make our final decision until late spring / early summer. Given this uncertainty, please answer the following. I am able to attend: *
